Underground Railroad Talk


UGRR is topic at Irondequoit library

A lecture on the Underground Railroad in Rochester will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, at the McGraw Branch of the Irondequoit Public Library, 2180 E. Ridge Road.

The Underground Railroad was an informal network of routes used by slaves to escape to freedom in the 19th century. Rochester homes were key stops on the way.
